Iration to release album and tour

Reggae, pop, rock heavyweights IRATION return with a new full-length albumAUTOMATIC out Tuesday, July 2 on their own 3 Prong Records with distribution through MRI/RED. In advance of the official release, the band has just released anew music video for the title track “Automatic,” which features personal footage shot by the band themselves while on the road as well as highlights from past shows. Automatic is an album that most completely describes our music,” vocalist and guitarist Micah Pueschel shares. “It is eclectic in its songs and covers the full range of styles that we pride ourselves in being able to play. Love in all its forms, is and has always fueled our music: love of life and its mysteries, love for your home, love of nature, and of course love between people. Automatic is no different. The title track ‘Automatic’ is a tribute to our fans. We owe them everything.”

AUTOMATIC marks the third LP from the Hawaiian-bred, Santa Barbara, CA-based band, and first in over three years. Their last full-length album Time Bombwas released in March 2010 and quickly hit #1 on the iTunes Reggae Albums chart, #40 on iTunes’ overall music chart, #2 on Billboard’s Reggae Albums chart and #30 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Albums chart. “Falling,” the massive hit single from Time Bomb and first released on their 2008 EP titled Sample This, has gone on to sell over 83,000 copies, received over 4.8 million Myspace playsand over 3.4 million combined YouTube plays, not to mention the countless cover videos posted. IRATION’s last release, 2011’s Fresh Grounds EP, alsodebuted impressively on multiple charts, coming in at #1 on the BillboardHeatseekers Albums chart and breaking into the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart.

With AUTOMATIC, IRATION--Micah Pueschel (Guitar/Vocals), Joe Dickens(Drums), Adam Taylor (Bass) and Cayson Peterson (Keyboards)--is further pushing their musical boundaries while staying true to the sound they helped bring to the mainstream. The band collaborated with Cage The Elephant guitarist Lincoln Parish who is featured on several tracks and helped co-produce the album. Focus track “Back Around” will be added to radio in the coming weeks leading up to the July 2 album release.

In a mission to bring their music to their ever-growing fan base, IRATION is constantly on the road. The band has already performed at such high-profile music festivals asLollapalooza, Wakarusa, California Roots Festival (two years in a row), Cypress Hill's annual SmokeOut Festival, San Diego’s big annual radio show 91 X-Fest, Santa Barbara's KJEE Summer Round Up, San Luis Obispo's annual Beer Fest at Avila Beach (where they headlined), the Sunset Strip Music Festival, West Beach Music & Arts Festival, Hurley's US Open of Surfing in Huntington Beach and many more.
