Before people knew what drum 'n' bass, dubstep and electro was,Norwegian duo Tony Anthem & Axl Ender were championing the sound of the underground in venues from Brixton to Siberia. Performing alongside DJs like Pendulum, Chase & Status, Sub Focus, Dieselboy, Grooverider, DJ Fresh and Adam F, these two bass crusaders have cultivated their sound in all flavors of bass. Now,ROTTUN RECORDINGSExcision’s monster, independent label—is bringing the bass assault with the release of NIGHTFALL, the debut album from Tony Anthem & Axl Ender, out June 3.

On NIGHTFALL, Tony Anthem & Axl Ender show no mercy and unleash their bass cannon full charge. From opener “Acid Party” to the intensity of “Invisible,” NIGHTFALL embodies the burning ferocity of bass Armageddon. Tracks like “Bring It On” and the metal-tinged“Nightfall” and “Beast” continue the brutality of NIGHTFALL, while“Tearing Me Apart” adds a human touch with vocals provided by Axl Ender

With several Top 10 bangers, Tony Anthem & Axl Ender is a force to be reckoned with, releasing electro house and bass music on labels including Play Me, Heavy Artillery, Sludge and Rat Records. They have been remixed by renowned producers such as Camo & Krookedand Specimen A and frequently get artist support from names likeFatboy Slim, DJ Fresh, Laurent Garnier, Andy C, Excision andReid Speed. They produce music in all degrees of bass, dubstep, electro house and grimy drum 'n' bass. Tony Anthem & Axl Enderpacks decades of live performance experience and have proven to never fail to destroy a party with their ruthless and ferocious live sets.

Tony Anthem began his career DJing and scratching at the local youth club. A couple of decades of touring and producing later, he began releasing drum 'n' bass as one half of Future Prophecies and signed to labels like DJ Fresh’s Breakbeat Kaos, Moving Shadow andGanja Records. He has worked with countless artists ranging fromMike Patton and Jamelia to Norwegian jazz royalty Nils Petter Molvær and Bugge Wesseltoft, and is as versatile as he is creative.

Axl Ender’s love affair with strange and wonderful sounds began when he received a synthesizer for his 12th birthday. He garnered his formal training at The Norwegian Academy of Film, where he studied sound design. He has worked in advertising and on several box office hit movies, crafting sounds and creating soundtracks. When listening to his productions, these cinematic influences become evident, and his passion for music and years of experience as a DJ also shines through in his seamless mixing of genres and styles—always taking it to the next level.
