Descanso Discovery Camp opens June 24

For summer, that is! Looking for an active, enriching -- and most of all, FUN! -- day camp experience for your youngster? Check out Descanso Discovery Camp!

Descanso Gardens is once again teaming up with the Child Educational Center to present three week-long sessions of day camp in the Gardens. Each session offers five days of adventure as the campers explore the gardens, learn skills like gardening and cooking, and have a heck of a good time doing it!  

Descanso Discovery Camp runs from 9 am to 3 pm Monday through Friday the weeks of June 24, and July 8 & 22. It is open to children entering grades 1 to 6. The cost per session is $433. Extended care is available at no extra fee from 7 to 8:30 am and 3 to 6 pm. Find out more by contacting the CEC at (818) 354-3418 or ceconline.org.

Established as a public garden in 1953, Descanso Gardens is located at 1418 Descanso Drive, La Cañada Flintridge 91011. The Gardens are open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except Christmas Day. Descanso Gardens is accredited by the American Association of Museums.
