Chris Resch's death announced

Chris Resch, former lead singer for the California metal band PANDEMONIUM - which released three albums on the Metal Blade label in the 1980s - died on August 24, 2007 at his home in Fairbanks, Alaska. He was 48 years old.
According to the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner, Resch, 48, who did painting and drywall work in recent years, pursued dreams of a music career in the early 1980s with his brothers David and Eric. The Resch brothers had grown up around music in Fairbanks, where their parents - Dorothy Resch and the late Dave Resch - owned the Upper Limits club on Second Avenue.
They formed PANDEMONIUM and played in many clubs and concerts in the Los Angeles area for a decade, releasing three albums over the years: 1983's "Heavy Metal Soldiers", 1985's "Hole in the Sky" and 1988's "The Kill".

Mickie, thanks for posting about my cousin Chris. I saw him at another cousin's house a couple years ago. He seemed fine to me at the time, so I was completely shocked. I think something bad runs in the family w/r/t heart attacks.

I played in punk bands, and later than Chris, David and Eric were playing, so I didn't follow them much except to wish them well. What did you think of Pandemonium?

Hello Marion,
You're welcome. I liked Pandemonium, but unfortunately never was able to catch them on tour.
It sounds like musical talent runs in your family too. Are you still playing? If so, please send me gig info to post on my blog.
I wish you and your family peace and happy memories.

Keep on rockin'
Mickie

Chris was such a nice guy. Every time I walked into The Wherehouse when he was working (at the Northridge Mall), he always had a smile on his face. He was so amped and excited about how things were going with Pandemonium. He was always playing cool heavy metal stuff on the turntable at The Wherehouse. I'll never forget the time (in 1983) that he was playing a record by the Japanese heavy metal band Loudness. I probably never would have heard that record if it wasn't for Chris!
