Garry Segal releases new effort

After 20 years of successful recording (3 critically acclaimed CDs) and touring with his rockin' blues band Garry & the Moodswingers, bandleader Garry Segal embarked on a solo career. Seeking a more personal connection with his audience, Garry got back to basics with a guitar, his voice, pencil, paper and the insights gained from many years on the road, marriage, love and betrayal.
His soulful singing, accompanied by his acoustic guitar, harmonica and a killer backing band, combine to make a powerful musical statement on this new CD. His sly and wry lyrics give the listener a chance to see Garry's world of failed dreams, humor and hope.
Now living in the shadow of Cold Mountain in North Carolina Garry continues to write and perform around the country either solo or with the To Dye For Band. Enjoy this new slice of Americana Music , acoustic rock bluegrass pie with a shot of blues to wash it all down. Luckily, the special guests on the CD are not just hired hands, but long time friends with Garry. After listening to this CD, you will hear how all the supporting players in the TO DYE FOR BAND lift Garry's songs to new heights.

The Band

JEFF PEVAR - Guitarist, recently with CROSBY STILLS & NASH, PHIL LESH, MARC COHN and many other top artists has been a friend and bandmate with Garry for over 25 years. Check out his jazzy outro-solo on Track 4, as well as the subtle guitar flourishes on Track 2.

PHIL ROSENTHAL- He spent many years on the road and in the studio as a member of bluegrass legends SELDOM SCENE before pursuing a solo career. Phil and Garry have performed and recorded together over the past several years. Look for great mandolin and banjo contributions on Tracks 5 & 7.

COLLIN TILTON - You have heard his saxophone playing more times than you can count, as he is the man blowing his horn on the iconic MOONDANCE album by VAN MORRISON. Collin now operates a recording studio, where this CD was recorded, and lends his smokey sax to Track 4.

STACY PHILLIPS- One of the most respected Dobro players in the country, his Grammy award-winning style takes front seat on Track 2.
