LAVA calendar highlights

Here are some brief highlights from LAVA's calendar –

If you can make just one, please come to the Sunday Salon on 3/28. This is a regularly scheduled lunchtime gathering heldon the last Sunday of each month at Clifton's Cafeteria, and it's where the LAVA will really start flowing, as we get to know each other better over confetti-flecked jello and other delights.

The Art of Bleeding at Fetish Nation:
an interactive installation featuring AoB's ambulance as the centerpiece of a field hospital for the morbidly curious, staffed by highly qualified and minimally clad nurses, while the improvised outdoor infirmary features exquisitely debilitated patients participating in an "educational" multimedia tent show. Circus Nightclub, Hollywood, 10pm.

F. Scott Fitzgerald in West Hollywood Walking Tour:

The Beachwood Canyon Song Circle:
modeled after a typical Nashville "Writers' Night" in which songwriters come together to share original songs and works in process in an informal, creative and communal setting. Sunday Salon:

The Flâneur & The City:
this walking tour hosted by LAVA founder Richard Schave offers a general rooftop overview of the forces at play within the Historic Core, followed by a stroll along Broadway and Spring Streets to discuss the finer points of the impact of recent public policy on urban renewal, gentrification and positive public space on the fragile ecologies of these two important thoroughfares. Free - reservations will be required and available soon. Los Angeles Athletic Club, Downtown, 2:30pm.
