Moronica to release new album

Juvee Records, in collusion with TuneCore Digital Distribution is ashamed to announce the third comedy rock release from MORONICA, The Duke of Decibels, The Guru of Grunge, The Maestro of Metal, The World’s Most Outrageous Hard Rock Super Hero!

Appropriately entitled “Money Shot For Metal”, the ten song abomination features hilarious high energy rock and metal tracks such as “Temple of the Gonad”, “Clowns From Uranus”, “Queen of the Queefs”, “Legend of Stinky Butt” and “His Heinous Sir Loin”.

Scheduled to hit the iTunes Store shelf on April 1st, 2010 (unless it is banned which would truly be an honor), the music is every helicopter parent’s worst nightmare, with tinnitus triggering guitar pyrotechnics and prostrate pulverizing drum destruction.

The patented, ear-piercing vocal attack required no profanity to create complete outrage and total disgust amongst the five thousand test subjects who instantly acquired a particularly potent form of mass delusion and immediately joined the Moronica Army.

A cross between Spinal Tap, Wayne’s World, Batman and Beevis and Butthead, The Moronica Project includes the devel- opment of a cartoon series, a comic book and a video game.

The original comedy rock music serves as the soundtrack for these various entertainment properties.

Creator Mark David O’Hara explains: “The entire venture started out as a solo music project for kids. The inspiration was my two nephews, who can spend an entire day laughing hysterically about barfing, farting, crapping, peeing and burping, as well as all the related body parts.

I knew right away I could compose that type of music and make a difference in their lives.”

He researched the kids music market and discovered that most of the artists were writing pop music for toddlers with stories about bananas and furry animals, which did not interest him in any way.

“For me the material has to be ridiculous with a sinister edge, and the music has to be intricate with different tempos and time signatures within each song”, O’Hara states.

After the first two albums were released in the Fall of 2009, he began working on the development of the Moronica cartoon series, comic book and iphone game.O’Hara, lead vocalist and chief instigator for SuperBooty, San Francisco’s craziest 15-piece funk party band, also freelances as a web designer and animator.
