Freestyle motocross championship at LA Country Fair Saturday

ASA Entertainment is proud to announce that the 8th Annual ASA World Championships of Freestyle Motocross (FMX) will return to the Pomona Fairplex this year on opening night of the L.A. County Fair, Saturday, September 4.

Starting at 7:30 pm, the best motorcycle aerialists in the industry, including defending champion Mike Mason (Minden, Nevada), 4-time FMX World Champion Nate “the Destroyer” Adams (Glendale, AZ) and 2-time FMX World Champion Jeremy “Twitch” Stenberg (Santee, CA) will compete in a head-to-head battle for the title of 2010 World Champion of Freestyle Motocross.

Tickets are on sale now and only $22.50 for box seats and $18.50 for reserved seats for this one-night only event. They can be purchased at the Fairplex Box Office, all Ticketmaster outlets, Tickemaster.com or by calling 800 745 3000 to charge them by phone. Fair admission is separate.

In 2009, Adams was in position to capture his 5th world championship title, but in the final round he met Mason and a few unforeseeable mechanical problems with his bike that lead to Mason winning his first World Championship title. While Adams will be looking to avenge his disappointment from last year’s final, he’ll have to contend with a full field of the world’s top pros, including two-time champion Stenberg, who was unable to compete last year due to injury.

Both Nate and “Twitch” will have to go through Mason and the rest of the world’s top riders in this single elimination contest sure to be filled with the full-throttle intensity and excitement that make these pros the best.

“You never know what’s going to happen at this event, that’s what makes it so intense and exciting,” said Adams. “We all have a great time here, including the fans. I look forward to it every year - putting on a show for the fans, competing against the best riders in the business and doing it in front of my friends and family.”

"The progression in freestyle motocross over the past few years has been nothing short of incredible”, said Rick Bratman, CEO of ASA Entertainment Group, the event’s owner and producer. “Fans will not believe what these pros can do on a dirt bike with 100’ back-flip variations, 360’s, no-handed tricks and so much more. Of the 150 events we produce each year, this is my favorite for its artistry and no-guts, no-glory attitude. Fans in SoCal do not want to miss this.”

The ASA World Championships of Freestyle Motocross will be broadcast nationally on Fox Sports Net in November as part of ASA’s action sports block. Stay tuned to www.ActionSportsTour.com for more programming details.
