Speakers announced for BMI/Digital Hollywood symposium in October

Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI), the U.S. performing right organization, and Digital Hollywood have announced the speaker lineup for the first “Content, Copyright & Commerce” symposium at the Fall Digital Hollywood in Santa Monica, CA. The one-day symposium will be held on Wednesday, October 20 as part of the Digital Hollywood schedule. Digital Hollywood will be held at the Loews Santa Monica (1700 Ocean Avenue).

“Content, Copyright & Commerce” will feature conversations analyzing and predicting the evolution of entertainment in the digital world. The agenda offers revolving conversations around hot-button topics and trend analyses including music downloads versus streaming; creating a game-changing digital media start-up; redesigning the music industry’s payment structure in the digital space; and an international, expert-led conversation about copyright protection.

There is a BMI member rate of $100 for the October 20 program, with access to all of Digital Hollywood’s programming that day. Digital Hollywood’s fall conference runs October 18-21.
