In Brief: First Person: Seeing America combines iconic photographs from the collection of The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Mathew Brady's searing pictures of the Civil War and Walker Evans's haunting portraits from the Great Depression—as well as images of the American West, Slavery, and incredible photographs from 1900-1950s. The music of Ensemble Galilei and narration by radio host Neal Conan and actor Lily Knight create a remarkable and powerful performance.
