Support local music and fun with Sierra Madre Sue

Have fun on the 4th of July, and 3rd too if you're in Sierra Madre. Please note that Tues. the 3rd festivities are in Memorial Park as usual, with Beer Garden opening at 5pm and GROOVY LEMON PIE playing from 7 - 9:30pm. Post-Parade party/picnic on July 4th is entirely at Sierra Vista Park, including free swimming for all at the pool, homerun derby on Heasley Field, and yes, the Diamond Diner will be open! A FREE shuttle will be running back & forth between both parks on the 4th, with 2 other stops on the Blvd. in between. A DUNK TANK is featured both days with various local dignitaries taking the plunge - including yours truly SierraMadreSue 5:30 - 6:00, bartender NIkki from the Buccaneer 6:30 - 7 and Mayor Josh Moran 7:30 - 9 (all on Tues. the 3rd), just to name a few. Full dunk tank schedule at: http://www.sierramadrenews.net/

ADAMS PACK STATION AT CHANTRY FLATS. Coming up this Sunday, 7/8 STEVE & STEVE are on from 12 - 1pm and SNOTTY SCOTTY from 4 - 5:30pm.

I will have to head down the mountain early as I am playing on the Buccaneer co-ed Softball team and we have a game at 6:15 on Sunday, 7/8 at Heasley Field. Other members include Bartender Nikki, Mainiac Joan, Carrie the Jackrabbit, Hanzo the manager, Darren, Ben, etc. Come on down - we wanna be the team with the most fans! We filled the stands at our first game and brought Scotty, Bruen & Vargas to sing the national anthem on the field. The other team didn't know what to make of us! The umpire said we had more support than the Angels! Buccaneer! Buccaneer! Aaarrrrrrrghh!

Look for Aluminum Marshmallow's latest incarnation in Sierra Madre's Memorial Park on Sunday 7/29, 6 - 8pm. They have some surprises in store...
