Mother's Day concert in Pasadena May 11

Hey Y'all,

We are back at Throop Unitarian on May 11. We have a terrific show lined up, and of course we will feed you and circle the chairs later for good song-circle fun.

We're proud to present Fur Dixon. Till recently she was one half of Fur and Steve, one of the region's most popular California Country acts. Fur is a wonder. Truly a fine and expressive singer, with loads of great songs. And she's as charming and funny as everybody says. Don't miss one of her first shows in her new incarnation.

Sabrina and Craig are a classic act. Sort of a modern take on the kind of folk duos that were once so popular. Craig Lincoln is an award-winning guitarist, and both write songs that are turning up everywhere. Add tight harmonies and inventive vocal arrangements, and what's not to love?

I'll be with my band, rehearsed and ready to rock out. But not so much that we scare your mom. We've had some tremendous gigs lately, and are just generally in a great place with the music.

I'm not making chili. We've decided to go with Lasagna and all the fixin's instead. Salad, bread, the whole deal. And it's all included in the price of admission. How do we do it? Volume! :0) Also we'll have water, soft-drinks an some pathetic low-dollar beer and wine. Feel free to bring your own and jealously hoard it.

Come on out. If you bring your mama, we will comp her admission and make her feel special all night. Think of the brownie points you'll make.

Throop Unitarian, 300 S. Los Robles (corner of Del Mar)
Some parking in the lot, more out front, and lots around the corner on Oakland (all free)
Doors open at 6:30. Music starts at 7, and we eat at 8:15 (give Mom a late lunch)
Song-Circle following my set at about 9:45 (open to all) And there is plenty of room for free-form socializing for those who've had enough music.

Attached is the flyer that our graphics department sent down. I need to talk to those people.
Hope to see you and yours.

Dave
