As the longer and lazier days of summer approach, the California Art Club will present the exhibition On the Water at its gallery at the historic Old Mill from May 7 to September 1. A reception with the 43 participating artists will be held on Thursday, May 9, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
The exhibition showcases nearly 60 paintings that capture quintessential summertime images of California’s sand and surf. The viewer will be taken on a virtual tour of the varied coastline along the Pacific Ocean, from the Sonoma coast and Point Lobos to Malibu and Laguna Beach.
All of the participating artists in the exhibition are juried members of the California Art Club and include Peter Adams, Victoria Brooks, John Brunnick, Larry Cannon, Nancy Crookston, Andrew Dickson, Linda DuPas, Esther Engelman, Mark Farina, Mark Fehlman, David C. Gallup, Andrea Gaye, Lynn Gertenbach, Carolyn Hesse-Low, Debra Holladay, Debra Huse, Jean LeGassick, Margot Lennartz, Frank Lennartz, Ruo Li, Richard Lindenberg, Carolyn Lord, Lee MacLeod, Ann McMillan, Jim McVicker, Stephen Mirich, Michael Obermeyer, Paul Panossian, Richard Probert, Robin Purcell, Michael Rich, Rodolfo Rivademar, Junn Roca, Pauline Roche, Stock Schlueter, Dan Schultz, Michael Situ, W. Jason Situ, Phil Starke, Brian Stewart, Gabor Svagrik, Karen Winters and Dennis Ziemienski.
