Soiree performers will be automatically entered in our search for the next COMET Award winner. The BEST OF Soirees will have professional judges and the now MONTHLY Soirees lead up to a final BEST OF THE BEST, from which the Comet Award Winner will be chosen. Presentation of this award will be made at our next (2008) LAWIM Honors Banquet.
We continue to feature talented newcomers alongside veteran songwriters & performers in a venue where the L.A. community of artists may perform and network. Once again, our host will be platinum songwriter and recording artist (#1 song: "Ain't No Way to Treat a Lady"), HARRIET SCHOCK, VP of LAWIM (www.harrietschock.com ). Soiree Performing Requirements:
To perform, you must:
1) Attend one soiree
2) Send a tape/CD to: LAWIM Soiree, 11664 National Blvd., Ste #280, Los Angeles, CA 90064 (attn: Harriet Schock Committee)
3) Be able to perform your preferably original pieces of music live with keyboard and/or guitar and 1-2 vocalists.
