Dangerous was born in Brooklyn, NY, has been writing poetry and hip-hop lyrics for 13 years and his haunting vocals, tight rhythms and infectious beats send a message more powerful than any hip hop artist before him.
Dangerous Musick’s newest single “War Outside My Door” compares the tough life on the streets he knew growing up in Brooklyn to that of a disastrous overseas war. Dangerous decries, “There’s a war outside my door, why send me to the Middle East when there is a war going on in American streets” He continues, “There’s a war outside my door, politicians ask where they went wrong, US citizens a ask where they went wrong, They didn’t listen to Marvin’s ‘What’s going on.’
Dangerous debuted on the movie soundtrack, The Bait, starring Oscar winning actor Jamie Foxx. He also lent his talents to the title track, "Took The Bait", collaboration with the legendary rap icon Scarface. Dangerous has worked and performed with the likes of Kanye West, Jadakiss, Doug E. Fresh, Pete Rock, Nokio (Dru Hill), Case, Ruff Ryders, Gangsta, Chingy, Carl Thomas, and Eve.
Early in his career, Prince signed Dangerous to his North Star Independent label, which Prince abandoned when he signed once again with a major label, but not before introducing Dangerous to Kanye West, who was so impressed with the young artist he immediately took Dangerous into his studio and produced and performed on two songs including Dangerous’ next single, ‘I Know That’s Right’ which is distributed by Purple Heart Records.
Dangerous has already sold over 355,000 disks and has a documentary on hip-hop and rap deep from the underground ready for release in 2009. With Purple Heart Records behind him, Dangerous will be around for a long time to come.
