Ludacris to headline Hip Hop 101 on Feb. 21 in L.A. to benefit Champs Funds and celebrate Black History Month

Grammy Award winning and multi-selling recording artist, Ludacris, has just closed a deal to headline Hip Hop 101, February 21, 2008 at the Los Angeles Sports Arena. The show is presented by Champ Funds Inc. in celebration of Black History Month. Also joining the ticket of slated acts is singer Keri Hilson ("Turning Me On" featuring Lil’ Wayne). More acts will be announced in the coming days. Tickets go on sale December 27, 2008 through Ticketmaster and Wanttickets.com.

HH101 will provide a bevy of entertainment, to celebrate what is probably the most important and significant Black History month ever with the appointment of Barack Obama as President of the United States of America. There will be guest speakers on hand that will range from entertainment to prominent leaders in the community to discuss the history of Black History Month. Other events taking place will consist of the following:

World renowned DJ Sleeper, will be spinning in between acts

Some of the top b-boys and b-girls will be showcased at the event in the ultimate dance off against the top 3 dance schools in LA (Debbie Allen, Millennium, and the Edge) The three schools will be given 15 minutes to rock the crowd in between sets

There will be an exciting display of some of the hottest tricked out cars

There will be live graffiti art taking place on sight with some of the best artists locally celebrating black history month

There will be a visual symphony performance (http://www.visualsymphony.us/ ) a state of the art visual performance featuring the history of hip hop as told through visuals

And an elaborate visuals and light and laser show will be on hand. The design will feature live feeds, massive projection screens, risers, lasers, lighting effects and more

HH101 is being produced by Derek Patterson of Champ Funds, Inc. Ken Andrews of Andrews Entertainment Group (South Bay Music Awards) will Executive Produce.

Arias Webster Berry of Entertainment Entertainment as Associate Producer, Sid Zuber of Creative Marketing Agency (Coachella), as production/sound management.
