Morgan Page to perform in Hollywood June 6

With one GRAMMY and two International Dance Music Awards (IDMA) nominations this year, Los Angeles-based producer & remixer MORGAN PAGE is gearing up for huge 2009.

MORGAN is currently putting the finishing touches on BELIEVE, his first artist album of all original material featuring an array of new collaborations and vocals by Morgan himself. Collaborators on the album include Angela McCluskey (telepopmusik), Natalie Walker, Samantha James (Om Records) and Dave Dresden (Gabriel & Dresden), among others. BELIEVE is his much-anticipated follow-up to 2008’s Elevate (Nettwerk) which featured the GRAMMY-nominated song “The Longest Road (Deadmau5 Remix).” The new album builds on the 12-songs of original tracks and remixes found on Elevate that seamlessly weaved highlights of Morgan’s prolific production career with his organic, melody-driven tracks.

The hotly sought after producer and remixer--whose recent remixes include tracks for Madonna, Katy Perry, The B-52s, West Indian Girl, and Tegan & Sara-- garnered two IDMA nominations at this year’s Winter Music Conference as “Best Break-Through Artist (Solo)” and “Best Progressive House/Trance Track” for his original version of “The Longest Road.”

Morgan Page was best known in the underground for his bootleg Cease & Desist album-- a collection of unauthorized remixes of artists like Coldplay, Imogen Heap and Davie Bowie. The album drew rave reviews online and with DJs, becoming an instant underground classic. Ironically, rather than receive the expected cease and desist letters, the album provided the majors with a solid showcase of Page’s work and it wasn’t long before they began hiring Morgan to legitimately remix artists like Stevie Nicks, Nelly Furtado and Korn.

Following a year of national international touring; including tours in Australia and Brazil, Morgan is debuting select cuts from his album and featuring his latest remixes in preparation for his official tour in conjunction with the release of BELIEVE.
