Pepper returns to Club Nokia June 3

Southern California-based, Hawaiian-bred PEPPER will return to Los Angeles’ Club Nokia on Wednesday, June 3 as part of the Spring Jägermeister Music Tour with Pennywise.

PEPPER released their live album KONA GOLD (Law Records/Volcom Entertainment) on April 21. The album was recorded August 2008 at PEPPER’s sold-out Fox Theater show in Boulder, CO and captures PEPPER’s raucous live and uncensored performance of songs from their career-pioneering 2002 full length debut album Kona Town. The 19-track CD also includes popular songs from In With The Old, No Shame and Pink Crustaceans and Good Vibrations including 2005's alternative radio hit "Give It Up,” “Ashes” and other fan favorites like “Stone Love,” “No Control,” “Tradewinds,” “Stormtrooper” and “Freeze.”

PEPPER has sold over 400,000 records independently, their music has appeared in many movie, television and video game soundtracks and they have had a number of album tracks appear on the Billboard “Hot Modern Rock Tracks” chart.

Their fifth studio album PINK CRUSTACEANS AND GOOD VIBRATIONS was released via their self-run label LAW Records, in association with Controlled Substance Sound Labs/MRI distribution, in July 2008 and is filled with the band’s trademark rock-funk-reggae hybrid grooves. The album was produced by Paul Leary of the Butthole Surfers--who also took to the boards on the band’s fourth album No Shame--and engineered by Wyn Davis at Total Access Studio in Redondo Beach.

Their song “Your Face” from their album No Shame is now available for Guitar Hero World Tour, after first being made available as part of a free trio of downloadable reggae songs from Controlled Substance Sound Labs during the 2008 holiday season.
