Polar Bear Club to tour in support of new album

Poised to be one of the biggest and best bands of 2009, Polar Bear Club recently completed recording their Bridge Nine debut with producer Matt Bayles. This inevitable classic, titled Chasing Hamburg, is currently slated to hit stores on September 8th, 2009.

Polar Bear Club drummer Emmett Menke said, “The new songs are overall a bit shorter and more upbeat, while somehow getting a little darker. Lyrically, they’re a lot more personal than our previous efforts. We're very happy with the final product.”

Formed in 2005, Polar Bear Club initially had no expectations of ever becoming a full-time band. Spread out amongst states and time-zones, the band released the EP The Redder The Better before they hit the studio to record 2008's critically acclaimed Sometimes Things Just Disappear on Red Leader Records. Disappear was also named one of AP's Top 10 Most Essential releases of '08 and called it an “absolutely spectacular post-hardcore masterpiece”.

While Polar Bear Club is currently across the pond with labelmates Ruiner and Defeater, they are excited to announce a U.S. tour beginning August 1st with Four Year Strong and Set Your Goals.

Menke went on to say, “…we’re really excited about getting back out on tour in August and playing some places we've never played before and making some new friends!”

Polar Bear Club will inevitably be showcasing material off of Chasing Hamburg while on the road this summer, making this a tour not to miss! Check out the dates below.
