WHAT: Come and enjoy a night of healthy food, spirits, art, silent auction, and soulful grooves to celebrate the truly astounding and selfless Mama Kia and her organization, Casa de Milagros.
In 1995 Kia visited Cusco Peru and was astounded by the overwhelming number of abandoned and orphaned children. After several months of nurturing the children in various parks, Kia realized they needed much more than nutrition. Three years later, Casa de Milagros was born under the Chandler Sky foundation, and became a loving home to 31 orphaned and abandoned children. Mama Kia has also devoted her relentless work and dedication to her two soup kitchens located in the Sacred Valley of Peru.
Recently being diagnosed with bone cancer, the event will serve to bring the community together to encourage support and knowledge of Mama Kia’s medical expenses, 31 adopted children and 2 soup kitchens. Why not take a chance and give back to someone who has given so much?
