L.A.’s hottest breakout artist Kaylah Marin is set to play The Factory Nightclub on Friday, November 13 with two back-to-back live performances. First up is a midnight show at Girl Bar’s 20th Anniversary event at UltraSuede, then a second show at 12:30 a.m. in the club’s main room, PopStarz, where Lady Gaga, Hilary Duff and Katy Perry have recently performed.
Kaylah keeps the party going with another performance on Saturday, November 14 at Agua Restaurant and Lounge in Beverly Hills, CA for the tenth production of DANCESCAPE’s Children's Performing Arts organization that helps raise money for art and music programs in L.A. public school classrooms.
The diva songstress is fresh off her tour in NYC– with stops at CMJ’s Official Artist Lounge, Splash Bar and Fox’s Strategy Room to name a few– is back in Los Angeles to catch her breath before her next line up of performances and events.
The soulful R&B singer/songwriter, known for her edgy alternative twist, has opened another door with the recent release of dance remixes to “On the Floor (Oh Baby Please).” The thumping track is earning Kaylah the #3 breakout artist spot on Billboard’s Club Play dance charts this week.
Top producers Josh Harris (The Killers, Madonna, Seal), Tracy Young (Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears), Rod Carrillo, and Billboard's top charting DJs The Perry Twins created the dance mixes, and are available on PerfectBeat.com where Kaylah is currently the #1 download.
Kaylah is also gearing up for the Hollywood Music in Media Awards (HMMA) thanks to her nomination in the R&B/Soul category for her hit “Green Caddie” from her debut album, Loving Life (available on BestBuy.com and select stores), produced by five time Grammy winner Narada Michael Walden. The HMMA’s will take place on Thursday, November 19 at The Highlands in the Kodak Theatre complex in Hollywood.
