Kill City, the punk-inspired contemporary line from Los Angeles manufacturer Original Cult, launches its first annual Jean Swap for the holidays benefitting the Los Angeles Mission.
Denim devotees are encouraged to trade in all used denim to the Kill City retail store in West Hollywood where they will receive up to 40% off new jeans. All recycled jeans collected will be donated to the Los Angeles Mission.
“Everyone has an old, now un-cool pair of jeans in their closet,” said Drew Bernstein, President/CEO of Original Cult. “Why not upgrade your style and get 40% off cool, new Kill City jeans? Bringing in old jeans gives consumers incentive to come into our store to try our jeans, get to know our brand and leave with a good feeling – knowing their jeans went to someone who’s going to wear and appreciate them.”
“The Los Angeles Mission is excited to partner with Kill City as they work toward giving back to the homeless community in this Holiday Season,” said Herb Smith, President/CEO of the Los Angeles Mission.
Kill City has a goal of collecting 300 pairs of jeans with the drive lasting through January 31, 2010. Recycled premium denim with an initial value over $100 will receive 40% off new Kill City styles, while non-premium denim will receive 10%-30% off.
