CURB APPEAL: THE BLOCK (airs in its weekly time slot starring Saturday, January 2 at 9:30 pm ET/PT)
ABOUT SERIES: HGTV's Curb Appeal is back and going to Atlanta to help beautify homes on the same block with a variety of makeovers! In each episode of Curb Appeal: The Block, designer John Gidding, contractor Chip Wade, and project manager Kimberly Lacy completely overhaul one home's exterior with a makeover so dramatic it is no longer considered the neighborhood eyesore, but the envy of the block! Next, they make their way up and down the street to repaint front doors, add window boxes and provide smaller-scale makeovers that create instant impact and increase the value of the entire block!

Damaged Driveway Gets an Overhaul
Hillary and Larry Tate became the eyesore of the block when a teenager crashed into their yard. The damage was extensive and overwhelming. The Tates didn't know where to begin, so they simply left it, for 3 years! The neighbors don't complain, but have offered "suggestions" as to how they can fix up the place. John and the team are stepping in and turning this eyesore of the block into the jewel. The facade and the yard are getting a complete overhaul with a tradionally elegant remodel. Neighbors will also benenfit with makeovers of their own, the teams raising spirits and values in this Atlanta neighborhood

CURB APPEAL: THE BLOCK
A Busy Chef Gets a Helping of Curb Appeal While A Local Church Gets a Much Needed Facelift
Richard Silvey's house and front yard is in desperate need of a makeover. His job as a chef demands that he spend long hours at the restaurant so he hasn't had the time to devote to his front yard. Fortunately, the Curb Appeal team is here to help! The plan includes opening up the front porch to create a new and improved entry way as well as turning an overgrown and neglected front yard into a manicured front yard complete with stones and succulents. And that's not all because a local church also gets a much needed facelift.

ABOUT JANUARY 1ST EPISODE:
Amy and Glenn live in a classic mid-century modern home with floor to ceiling windows. Unfortunately the windows look out onto a courtyard that hasn't been touched in 50 years. The couple longs for a peaceful retreat that exudes a feeling of calm where Amy can invite members of her charity organization to relax. Jamie heads to Bali, one of the most tranquil places on earth, for inspiration.

Water plays a huge role in Balinese culture. Pools, ponds and fountains abound reflecting the gentle balance between nature and mankind. Jamie and his team embark upon their most complex project yet with a sophisticated infinity-edge water feature with stepping-stones that inspires awe and contemplation. Oversized tropical plants, a Balinese hand-carved screen and stunning white marble lotus flowers complete an outdoor dining room and mediation space that looks and feels like a Balinese refuge.
