AFI added to Bamboozle lineup in Anaheim

AFI will follow-up their charged Almost Acoustic Christmas performance this weekend with a headlining set at the Bamboozle in Anaheim, California. They will play the event’s first day: Saturday, March 27th. This marks a return for AFI’s Davey Havok and Jade Puget to Bamboozle, who played the 2008 edition of the festival as Blaqk Audio. Entertainment Weekly called it, “one hell of a good time.”

Advance Bamboozle tickets go on sale tomorrow-- Tuesday, December 15th – at 10 AM. Go to www.thebamboozle.com. Two Day and Single Day tickets will be available at a special price for a limited time only. Two Day tickets will be just $75 while Single Day tickets will be $39.50*. Get your tickets now! Stay tuned for additional band announcements, individual day lineups and much more.

The Bamboozle will take over the Festival Grounds of Angel Stadium Saturday, March 27th and Sunday, March 28th. It is a weekend long crash course in today’s youth-culture scene, the only place to watch over one hundred of the most talked-about bands in pop, punk, rock, rap and more perform live. AFI will join the newly reformed Something Corporate on the massive bill. Something Corporate will play on the second day: Sunday, March 28th. Many more fantastic bands and other details will be revealed soon. In addition to all of the great music, the Bamboozle will also feature exciting carnival rides, tasty food and drink, the world-famous vendor village, band merch plus lots of the exciting surprises the festival is notorious for.

AFI released their eighth album, Crash Love this September. It is arguably their most focused, direct and ambitious effort to date. The Los Angeles Times concurred, saying, "Crash Love is AFI's most confident, enjoyable album yet... the NoCal band has grown with accelerating sophistication.” Alternative Press found the disc, “packed with as much exuberance, mystery and drama one can handle… In no uncertain terms, Crash Love is an accomplishment that raises the bar for them as musicians and writers.”

Crash Love follows up two consecutive platinum AFI albums, 2006’s Decemberunderground which entered the U.S. chart at #1 and 2003’s Sing the Sorrow. AFI’s discography also includes the full lengths The Art of Drowning (2000), Black Sails in the Sunset (1999), Shut Your Mouth & Open Your Eyes (1997), Very Proud of Ya (1996) and Answer That and Stay Fashionable (1995).

* A service charge is added to each ticket price.
