Foreigner on "The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien" Friday

Legendary rock band Foreigner will take the stage at The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien on Friday, December 18 and treat fans to a performance of “Hot Blooded,” one of their seven Top 5 hits. The performance comes as “Can’t Slow Down,” the title track of the band’s new 3-disc Walmart exclusive release, continues to gain traction on rock radio charts. In addition to the success of the new album, Foreigner saw a sales jump last week of the 2008 greatest hits package No End In Sight, re-entering the Billboard sales charts for a record-breaking sixth time.

Foreigner released Can’t Slow Down in September with an impressive #29 Billboard chart debut. Available from Rhino Entertainment exclusively through Walmart, Can’t Slow Down features a new studio album from Foreigner along with an album of the band’s re-mixed original hit recordings and a DVD featuring the band in concert. The release, along with the band’s 2008 greatest hits package No End In Sight, scored Foreigner the impressive honor of being the only classic rock group in recent history to have two albums, both featuring newly recorded tracks, in the Billboard 200 simultaneously.

Foreigner also saw an increase in rock radio spins last week driven by new single “Can’t Slow Down.” The song is currently #14 with a bullet in the Radio & Records new music chart format. Can’t Slow Down’s initial single, “When It Comes to Love,” continues its Top 30 run on adult contemporary airplay, charting in both Mediabase and Radio & Records. This ranking and the band’s consistent showing of Top 20 radio airplay puts Foreigner in the lead above other classic rock artists such as Bruce Springsteen, U2, Tom Petty, Bon Jovi and Journey.

Since the band’s origin in 1976, Foreigner has sold more than 70 million albums and experienced multi-platinum success around the world. With classic songs such as “I Want to Know What Love Is,” “Waiting For A Girl Like You,” “Double Vision,” and “Urgent,” the group has scored nine Top 10 and sixteen Top 30 hits.
