Key Wilde and Mr Clarke, the zany new family music duo that's been compared variously to Monty Python and Johnny Cash, will release their new book and CD set, Rise and Shine with Little Monster Records on January 5th.
They'll be featured live guests on Sirius-XM Satellite Radio's Kids Place Live (channel 116), the "Absolutely Mindy" show, on January 5th at 4 pm Eastern time.
The duo is taking the family music scene by storm. They won a Sonicbids competition over 80 other top bands who applied to the Kindiefest music conference showcase in New York last May.
Critical acclaim is mounting, and already kids’ radio shows across the nation are playing their hit songs “Favorite Names” and “Big Pet Pig.” Their songs have also been featured on a new CD from Greasy Kid Stuff and a tribute to Barry Louis Polisar this fall.
Key Wilde and Mr Clarke bring an offbeat sensibility and fanciful hand-drawn illustrations to their colorful new Rise and Shine board book and CD. The duo kicks off a national family concert tour with shows at Philadelphia’s World CafĂ© Live on January 16th and NYC's Symphony Space on February 13th.
A Key Wilde and Mr Clarke EP, "Hello, Our Name is Key Wilde & Mr Clarke," featuring three original songs and a music video, will also debut online in early January. The kids' music site www.Zooglobble.com is offering a $1 download of the new EP, today through January 1, 2010.
