Arboretum to offer Permaculture Workshop Saturday

Permaculture Workshop:
Lasagna Mulching & Seedballing
Saturday, January 30
10am-1pm
$22 members / $25 non-members
Please call 626.821.4623 to reserve a place.

Whether you’re smiling at the title or find yourself intrigued, be sure to clear your schedule for this workshop! You’ll be glad you did as you come away with two incredibly productive and versatile techniques to use everywhere imaginable. From creating natural raised beds just outside your door to covering the back forty, sheet mulch and seed balls are all you need to bring to life extremely beautiful, low-maintenance, low-cost gardens. Using what you have on hand or can source locally is true sustainable gardening.

Cover crop seeds will be supplied. Bring others to create one-of-a-kind seed balls, with an emphasis on edibles and medicinals. Bring gloves and water. Instructor Caitlin Bergman is both a certified permaculture designer and a garden curator at The Arboretum. Meet in The Arboretum main entrance. Workshop will be held outside the Education & Propagation Nursery.
