UK based Intervurt have released their video for the track “Union Square” online at

The song is the first single from the group’s debut album, “Union”, which hits stores on May 4th, 2010 through FOF Label Group/EMI.

“We wanted the ‘Union Square’ video to reflect both the influence that London & New York City had on us as a band, and create a kind of a fusion of the two. Mirroring the artwork that was being created for the album, the video became like a mash-up of the two cities,” commented Intervurt frontman Paul O'Keeffe. “We filmed the performance footage at Goldsmiths College in South London, but we only had a limited amount of time to use the stage as Blur were doing a secret gig there that evening. I think the Loftworks crew did a great job, and it looks fantastic and always reminds me a little of the movie Sin City.”

“We wanted something that looked both unique and different from the standard performance video, and at the same time still managing to capture the raw ingredients of the band, song and album as a whole,” added guitarist Mark Alberici. “Many hours were spent animating but I think it turned out great and was well worth it in the end.”

Intervurt brew a smoking cauldron that bleeds light into dark, bending sound around an infectious blend of musicianship, melody and manic tones. The results marry Muse, the Killers and Queens of the Stone Age into a twisted aural honeymoon . The group’s debut was recorded at Jimi Hendrix's Electric Lady Studios (David Bowie, The Rolling Stones) in New York City and was produced by Mark Plati (David Bowie, Prince, The Cure) and Tom McKay (Joydrop).
