The Fader and Southern Comfort to release next effort in limited series

The FADER, the definitive voice of emerging music, and Southern Comfort announce the ninth installment in their series of limited-edition 7-inch vinyl releases curated by the editors of The FADER. This rare pressing of only five hundred copies will also be accessible to readers of The FADER, who will have the chance to win the limited record online at TheFADER.com. In addition to the limited pressing, the tracks will also be available for free download at TheFADER.com.

To kick off the a-side, Southern Comfort and The FADER enlisted current cover artist, Little Boots, to cut "Magical," an new wave in space tune released ahead of the highly hyped singer's coming full length debut. Flip the wax to a live recording of Wild Yaks' "I'm a Fool," giving a wild voice to the working class. On the cover, British artist Maya Wild illustrated all the musicians in teenager's notebook style grey and pastel.

Previous releases in the series have included match-ups with the likes of indie groups M Ward and Ladyhawk, dancehall vocalists Busy Signal and Mavado as well as boundary destroying rockers Black Lips and YACHT. The final 7-inch of the 2007 series featured Ed Banger DJ, Busy P, as well as fellow Baltimore citizen DJ Blaqstarr.

Continuing their tradition of showcasing emerging artists, The FADER and Southern Comfort kicked off the 2008 series with White Williams and Dirty Projectors and followed up with Africa issue cover stars BLK JKS, of South Africa, and Esau Mwamwaya, of London, paired up with the production duo Radioclit. This newest release comes off of the heels of the previous meeting of Alabama's Hood Headlinaz and Baltimore rappers Get 'Em Mamis as well as releases by Brooklyn's Telepathe and 77Klash.
