The SHIMMY SHOWCASE begins at 7 p.m. at the COFFEE HAVEN in Long Beach (1708 E. Broadway -- 562-437-3785).

January 25: Another spectacular Shimmyshowcase is in store with Fernan Cobian and his band of drummers playing LIVE music with the ever popular JJ & the Habibis performing.

February 1: On this Ground Hog Day eve, creative coordinator Saviya presents Saphira, Kalila, and Gaea. We don’t know if these innovative performers will incorporate any rodents into their acts, but we do know this should be a great performance.

February 8: Goddesses Unleashed with Alexiis! This is bound to be one of the most sumptuous, sizzling and sultry events of the winter season. Ravenmoon and Jessica will help Alexiis in presenting Freya, Canece, Parveneh, Tracey Farmer, Daliah Deva, Cynthia, Ba" El, and Dangeruz. Do NOT miss this spectacular show! You will regret it!

February 15: Abraiha brings you an evening of dazzling cabaret style belly dancing with May, Anna, Cayla, and Amar performing for you.

February 22: DARK (No Shimmyshowcase -- Belly Dancer of the Universe Competition)

March 1: Once again, Shimmyshowcase is honored to have Fernan Conan back with us with his fabulous live music. Coordinator Alexiis is putting together a fantastic program of American Tribal Style bellydance featuring Jen, Sylvia, Brandie, Veronika, Mish’Ala, and Katerina. Mark your calendars and plan to join us at Coffee Haven for a great evening of music and dance entertainment!

March 8: Xandra is delighted that Yasmin, Devon and Brandy will be performing on this evening. We have room for maybe one or two more dancers, so if you’d like to join us, please send us an email at Shimmyshowcase@yahoogroups.com.

March 15: It’s party time again as Shimmyshowcase coordinator Saviya brings you a stellar cast of present and former coordinators – Alexiis, Katerina, Rebecca, Xandra joined by Sina, and Meryem Vani, to celebrate our 6th Anniversary. Have we really been going for six years? Be sure to come down to see your favorite dancers and join friends and fans for a fun evening of socializing and, of course, spectacular dancing.

March 22: Alexiis, your coordinator for this first Sunday in Spring honors the living, growing excitement of the reawakening Gaia by bringing Sylvia to our magic carpet for an evening of enchanting tribal dance. March 29: Once again, Shimmyshowcase is proud to present LIVE music by Fernan Cobian and Co. Coordinator Saviya leads another dazzling array of dancers including Marlena and others to be decided.
