Tangerine Dreams jazz gala to benefit Hillsides

“Tangerine Dreams: A Jazzy Affair” to Benefit Foster Care Charity
Pasadena Resident Chairs Children’s Charity Fundraiser on Feb. 28

WHO: Pasadena foster care charity, Hillsides, is hosting its annual gala dinner and auction, “Tangerine Dreams: A Jazzy Affair,” which will raise funds for its programs and services for foster care children and youth at risk as well as families in crisis living in Los Angeles County. For the 17th consecutive year, Fritz Coleman, weathercaster for KNBC-4 and honorary chairman of the benefit, will serve as master of ceremonies and celebrity auctioneer.

WHAT: Presenting a much-anticipated gala, Pasadena resident Ellen Hatch, benefit chair, promises to create an extraordinary event to remember. In almost a century, Hillsides has transitioned from an orphanage to a foster care children’s charity that provides residential treatment to help children who have been abused, abandoned, and neglected. Hillsides’ gala will lift spirits, knowing guests’ contributions will help children who have experienced traumatic childhoods and strengthen families in crisis. Other highlights include children’s wishing well, live auction, silent auction and opportunity drawings, all of which will be complemented by entertainment throughout the evening.

WHEN: Saturday, February 28 at 6:00 p.m.
WHERE: Held at a private club in downtown Los Angeles
Tickets: $250 and sponsorship levels ranging from $1,000 and above are available.

WHY: Every child has a right to dream and believe in the power of their dreams. For the children who reside at Hillsides, their lives were nightmares before coming to the safe haven nestled in the beautiful San Rafael Hills of Pasadena. Here they are able to take a deep breath, relax, feel protected and begin to dream again. Your support enables us to bring healing to all the children in our care so they can dream and see a future beyond their past.
