Danko Jones to perform in L.A. in December and tour with Guns N' Roses

DANKO JONES--who blew away the crowd with their salacious mix of punk and spoken word at the Viper Room in late September--return to Los Angeles December 9 for a show at The Troubadour. On December 3, they’ll perform at the Hunnypot Radio & Chopperhead Magazine party at The Highlands in Hollywood; the show is free and open to the public. Next up in January, the group joins Guns N’ Roses for a cross-country trek wrapping February 4.

The powerful trio which SPIN magazine hailed as a “stunningly direct blues/hard rock/punk hybrid” (August 2009) are supporting the release of their new CD NEVER TOO LOUD, released September 8 via Bad Taste Records/Caroline. For the new album, the group--DANKO JONES (lead vocals/guitars), JOHN CALABRESE (bass), DAN CORNELIUS (drums)--teamed with Grammy Award-winning producer Nick Raskulinecz (Rush, Foo Fighters, Coheed & Cambria, Stone Sour, Velvet Revolver).

DANKO JONES have been invited to perform the NHL post-game concert series for the Tampa Bay Lightning November 25 at the St. Pete Times Forum. The show takes place in the outdoor plaza following the game between the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Toronto Maple Leafs. Tickets are available online at:

The group’s buzzed-about first single “Code of the Road” is featured on the Saw VI soundtrack (Trustkill Records). The song (about the endless ups and downs of touring) also can be heard in EA’s new racing game Need for Speed: Nitro (available for Wii and Nintendo DS) as well as in commercials for the game in the U.K., France Austria and Switzerland. The video for “Code of the Road”-- featuring comedian Jim Florentine (“Crank Yankers,” “That Metal Show”) as the bus driver--is currently being shown daily in over 350 Harley-Davidson locations across the U.S. and at over 1000 sports clubs nationwide through ClubCom.

About DANKO JONES:
Hailing from Toronto, DANKO JONES are invading the U.S. with the release of NEVER TOO LOUD, their brand new studio album, out September 8 via Bad Taste Records/Caroline. The trio teamed with Grammy Award-winning producer Nick Raskulinecz and recorded NEVER TOO LOUD at Dave Grohl’s Studio 606 in Los Angeles.

Over the past five years, DANKO JONES have achieved hard rock hero status in Europe. The group’s no-holds-barred performance style has made them beloved fixtures on the European festival circuit (Lowlands, Rock Im Park, Rock Am Ring, Wacken Open Air, Rock Werchter, Hultsfred, Leeds and Reading), which has helped the group achieve high chart positions (including a Top 10 position in the Swedish sales charts) and strong record sales across the continent.

The trio has gained recognition of like-minded music luminaries, with the Raconteurs covering their song “Samuel Sin,” being handpicked by the legendary Motorhead to join them on tour and opening for The Rolling Stones in their hometown of Toronto.

DANKO JONES’ career now spans three U.S. album releases--including the previous We Sweat Blood 2005 and Sleep Is The Enemy 2006 (both on Razor & Tie)--as well as multiple Juno Award nominations.
