Landscaping and lawn care professionals are invited to learn about efficient irrigation during a free, four-week workshop series every Thursday from Jan. 21 to Feb. 1 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Victory Park Center, 2575 Paloma St. in Pasadena.
Participants will receive in-depth instruction on irrigation principles that will help them maintain beautiful, green landscapes while saving their customers water and money. They will learn how to:
* Evaluate the efficiency of existing irrigation systems
* Troubleshoot for water waste
* Install and program “smart” irrigation controllers
* Design efficient irrigation systems
* Select, plan and install drip irrigation
* Schedule watering for maximum efficiency
When they complete the four-week series, participants will receive a certificate of completion from Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, which partners with Pasadena Water and Power to bring the free training to Pasadena-area lawn and garden professionals.
