Stairwell Sisters coming to SoCal

San Francisco's all-gal old-time teardown The Stairwell Sisters are heading to SoCal for Workshops and Concerts Jan 23-24, 2010.

The Stairwell Sisters' third CD Get Off Your Money, produced by Austin's Lloyd Maines garnered rave reviews internationally, and the gals have appeared on stages from A Prairie Home Companion to Lincoln Center (NY), Hardly Strictly Bluegrass (SF), Celtic Connections (UK) and many more.

These women attach a rock-and-roll energy to an acoustic mountain sound...bandanas and whiskey are at home with Chuck Taylors and wine coolers...The seamless instrumentation along with each band member's musicianship help this album stand out from others of its genre...stories that coalmen from the 1800s can relate to as well as someone driving home in rush hour.
