On Oscar night, Sunday February 27th, 2011, International Luxury Media and Passions Productions will produce "Kiss The Stars", a Black-Tie Oscar® telecast viewing party at Clive Christian Beverly Hills (www.clive.com), celebrating 20 years of nominees and winners and presenting for the first time in the United States, the Fourth Annual Better World Awards (BWA).
This coveted party began at a tawny Malibu enclave twenty years ago, with local celebrities dropping by to watch the Oscar® ceremony. The ‘Hollywood’s insiders” group annually grew larger and found with Clive Christian a luxury place to call home this year.
With a roster of guests and honorees such as HRH Prince Albert II de Monaco, Prince Filiberto de Savoie, Princess Clotilde Courau, Elie Saab, Bryan Ferry, or Julian Lennon, the BWA has been the favorite of European philanthropists traveling to Monte-Carlo for the occasion each year in May. “International supporters are quite excited to bring the Better World Awards to Beverly Hills for the first time since its beginning in Monaco and salute the Hollywood set for their humanitarian efforts,” comments Gina de Franco, International Luxury Media CEO and executive co-producer of the "Kiss The Stars" gala.
“This prestigious award is given to individuals who have shown outstanding work in the charity/fundraising arena and particularly work which has had an impact on specific underdeveloped worlds helping children,” she adds. “This year, we will be awarding Film and 'Heroes' TV star Haitian-born Jimmy Jean-Louis the Global Humanitarian Award for his commitment to rescuing Haiti, by consistently going to his native island with volunteers and building schools.”
Jimmy's dedication in helping reconstruct the education facilities in Haiti has been an ongoing one through his non-profit organization ‘Hollywood Unites for Haiti’ (http://www.hufh.org). When the cameras left, Jimmy continued making pilgrimages all year long; by hand, brick by brick he has built new schools which will have a long term effect on the future of Haiti," noted de Franco.
Traditionally, a surprise celebrity friend presents the BWA award to the award recipient on stage. In the past, Prince Albert II de Monaco presented the award to Mr. Julian Lennon, songwriter Ms. Denise Rich gave it to Mr. Ky-Mani Marley while Mr. Flavio Briatore saluted several Grand Prix colleagues and Mr. Boris Becker.
"Kiss The Stars partners have been exceptional and also true philanthropists in helping us with this event,” remarks Pascale Fortunat Passions Productions President and executive co-producer of the event, “Clive Christian leading the way,” she adds.
Clive Christian -- the luxury brand giant applauded by The Sunday London Times for his breathtaking interiors and uniquely expensive perfumes, and a loyal supporter for the fourth year in a row of the event – is the ideal global company to be welcoming celebrity clients and movie industry players in grand style. The Clive Christian clientele, which includes Tom Cruise, Shania Twain, Rod Stewart and Oprah Winfrey, is a real who’s-who of sophistication.
