Autism Speaks is holding its inaugural BLUE TIE-BLUE JEAN BALL at the House of Blues on the Sunset Strip on Thursday evening, December 1, 2011. Presented by Guess?, Inc., this incredible night of music will feature live performances by some of the biggest names in the business. Confirmed to perform is Sarah McLachlan, as well as many other special guests to be announced soon.

The BLUE TIE-BLUE JEAN BALL will also celebrate the launch of famed rock music photographer Rob Shanahan’s book, Volume 1, featuring incredible photographs of rock star legends: http://www.robshanahan.com/. One of the most published photographers in the music business, Shanahan’s photos have appeared in ad campaigns, books, CD and DVD covers, and magazines worldwide.

“I am thrilled to be a part of this exciting event," commented honoree Rob Shanahan. “The work that Autism Speaks is doing to advance research and advocacy truly makes a difference in the lives of so many families affected by autism. We are grateful for the support of the music community to help us raise funds for this vital cause.”

In addition to the performance, the evening will include a live auction with unique items that won’t be found anywhere else. General admission tickets are $200 and include cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. All proceeds will benefit Autism Speaks, the world’s largest autism science and advocacy organization.
