VNV Nation to tour in support of album

In support for the release of AUTOMATIC, their critically-hailed eighth studio album, electronic rock pioneers VNV NATION is readying for a national headline tour that will launch in Los Angeles on November 16th at The Mayan Theater and will circle the States, wrapping up in Atlanta, GA on December 13th at Masquerade. With each set clocking in at two hours or more, this tour will be a special extended live event. German electronic dance outfit Straftanz will support all dates. (tour dates below)

On Automatic, the follow-up to their widely-praised Of Faith, Power and Glory, Irish/English bandmates Ronan Harris and Mark Jackson worked hard crafting the new album into something far more conceptualized and thematic than previous releases. Calling the new album half-jokingly his "Opus of Retro-futurism", Ronan has streamlined the music, artwork, and imaging of this album into a concept that encompasses the industrialization and technology of late 30's America while embracing the technology of today. NY After Dusk calls the album "A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. The only word that comes to mind after hearing Automatic... Automatic their magnum opus." Bloody Disgusting adds, "Automatic is beautiful, violent, sublime, fierce, and never once holds back." FEARnet sums it up best by saying, "There's a human heart pumping through this machinery, and you can feel it in almost every track, making it one of the most accessible electronic dance albums of the year."

Since its digital release this Fall, Automatic has turned into a monster on the European music charts. It peaked at #8 on Media Control's Overall Album Chart (the German equivalent of Billboard), has held its ground at #1 on the Alternative Album Chart for eight consecutive weeks, it was also #1 on the Alternative Digital Chart and has been #9 on the Physical Sales Chart. The first released track "Control" has also remained at #1 on the Alternative Singles/Electronic Chart for eight consecutive weeks.

With their unique and formidable ability to combine very melodic, danceable electronics with haunting and powerful lyrics, VNV Nation have built a massive fanbase, playing to hundreds of thousands of fans at both their own sold-out shows and major rock festivals worldwide. Their massive hits "Chrome", "Beloved" and "Illusion" are club staples that still pack dancefloors. Automatic was released in the US digitally on September 27th via Anachron America.
