Channel 3 to offer free premier of documentary

Surging forward with a renewed creative intensity and on the heals of a recent European Tour CHANNEL 3 are proud to announce the FREE premier of their documentary One More For All My True Friends on June 16, 2007 and release of their new 7” limited edition picture disc on Suburbia Records.
One More For All My True Friends chronicles the history and adventures of CHANNEL 3 and follows founding members Mike Magrann and Kimm Gardener from their childhood friendship through their often tumultuous music careers against the backdrop of the 1980's So Cal Punk movement.
The film unfolds with the charm of a pre-internet, post-fax, Regan era punk rock history year book featuring interviews with members of RANCID, ADOLESCENTS, THE ADICTS, and THE SIMPLETONES along with classic CHANNEL 3 live footage from Target Video, photos, flyers and much more!
Signed in 1980, seminal label Posh Boy Records first captured CHANNEL 3’s trademark "wall of booze" sound combining hardcore energy with a melodic sense. CHANNEL 3 rose to the top of the early 80's hardcore scene through constant touring (with the likes of legendary bands BLACK FLAG, HUSKER DU, BIG BOYS) and a fierce stream of steady releases.
They joined the young Enigma Record label in the late 80's and began to explore a wider palette of musical possibilities.
By the 1990's the group had become divided, and their musical forays into glam and roots rock left many of their punk fans as disillusioned as the band members themselves and they were eventually shadowed by many of the bands that once opened for them.
Through it all, the friendship between Magrann and Gardener held fast, and has seen the band ride a new wave of popularity with the old school punk scene.
One More For All My True Friends is the full length documentary by film maker Erik Carreon of Homeschool Productions (Smut Peddlers, Cocksparrer, Stitches, TKO and SOS Records.) Erik became interested in this project with CHANNEL 3 when he got to know the band members and could picture the human interest story beyond the usual smash and burn punk rock ethos.
To this day CHANNEL 3 are keeping alive the spirit of the scene created by record labels like Stiff, Slash and Dangerhouse. The band was recently honored to perform at early supporter ‘Rodney On The Roq’ Bingenheimer’s celebration when he received his Star on the Walk of Fame this past March and CHANNEL 3 gets regular airplay on Joe Sibb’s nationally syndicated radio show ‘Complete Control’.
