The Fader to release limited-edition vinyl featuring Black Lips and Yacht

The FADER magazine, the definitive voice of emerging music, and Southern Comfort announce the third installment in this series of four limited-edition 7-inch vinyl releases curated by the editors of The FADER. The records will be created and distributed to top DJs, artists and influencers. This rare pressing of only 500 copies of each edition will also be accessible to readers of The FADER, as they have a chance to win the exclusive recordings online at www.thefader.com.
Continuing their tradition of showcasing emerging artists, which previously included M Ward, Ladyhawk, Busy Signal and dancehall master Mavado, the third edition of the Southern Comfort/The FADER 7-inch series features previously unreleased tracks by Black Lips (on the A-side) and YACHT (on the B-side). Philadelphia-based artist Andrew Jeffrey Wright designed the vibrant, head trip-inducing cover.
Black Lips kick off the 45 with an anthemic rendition of The Tamrons' 1967 track "Wild Man." Blending surf riffs and a pulsating kick, Atlanta's Black Lips flaunt a no-limits approach and their signature frenzy before crashing into a wall of static.
The B-side, YACHT's "No Favors Policy," finds Portland resident Jona Bechtolt abandoning his usual electronic-based tactics and returning to the big guitar grunge influences of his Pacific Northwestern youth.
