G-man Blues fans eagerly await the arrival of "G-force" due this quarter. G-man hasn't issued a release date regarding when it will hit both store's and electronic shelves but says that it will be out in time for the holiday season. Sounds good to us.
The album opens with a "gritty soulful Onederous You This is a great song. It's something that you can really dance to. It's also a song that anyone can dig" according to Heather Burke - Raven Entertainment Promotions.
When asked about the track gman quoted " I love this song so much that I knew from the first time I ran through it, its name, and also that it would be the albums opener".
He continues with the funky upbeat "Onederous You" --a song about all the "Onederous things that you do". Gman wails some notable blues harp riffs on Onederous.
The center piece for the album however is not a blues song, but rather the pop piece "Sally Port Paddy". The song is about a woman who misuses her medication creating a "Sally Port" or escape hatch from reality.
Says gman: "This song has a wonderful groove that contrasts with the main characters disastrous end. Even in that however, there is a cheery resolution to the story. I had a lot to say about Sally- so much so that I actually wrote a short story about her and pulled events out of the story for the song".
When Paddy Takes her Pill, She Starts another Day It's latte and "IB" and shower steam, to get back in that good good-day thing Sun comes up, streams through the clouds; radio samba playin' loud Can't wait to board that train, cause Paddy feels no pain. There are other gems on the record including a Birthday Song that gman has written for the MySpace community.
The player of "Upbeat Rock and Blues" has pre-released several tracks from G-force available on his main, and MYSPACE web pages. Reviews for the song are being propagated throughout the Internet as you read.
