Brightly approached the Staten Island MC about bringing the interludes to television and the Internet. The resulting on-air promo spots in 2005 became iconic for MTV viewers and hip-hop fans everywhere. Feeling the need to bless the world with more jewels concerning life, love and hustling, Ghostface and J. Brightly sat down together over the course of eight months and crafted the manual to happy and successful thug living known as “The World According to Pretty Toney.”

Ghostface Killah is a hip-hop icon revered for his innovation, unique wordplay and dedication to maintaining rap’s integrity. Born and raised in Staten Island’s Stapleton project, Ghostface is a 15-year music industry veteran who rose to meteoric fame in 1992 with the ground-breaking rap group Wu-Tang Clan. The group’s debut album Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) went triple platinum and helped to redefine the genre. He followed this success by collaborating with fellow Wu-Tang member Raekwon on the critically-acclaimed album Only Built 4 Cuban Linx, which remains a seminal album for hip-hop fans worldwide.
