Songsalive! workshop and more

ORANGE COUNTY SONGSALIVE! SONG CRITIQUE WORKSHOP
Sun. November 25, 2007 – 7pm
With Host and Guest Speaker Jimi Yamagishi presenting a song critique session first half, followed by industry discussion focusing on "Networking: How to let the people you know help you meet the people you need".
Songsalive! holds workshops where songwriters gather to share their songs, gain feedback and develop relationships within the songwriting communities we have created around the world. The first half is solely dedicated to an in-the-round workshop where writers present one song each - either on tape, CD or live - followed by a guest speaker/industry discussion in the second half and plenty of time to talk and network. THIS MONTH HOSTED BY: Jimi Yamagishi. With over a quarter century in the industry, Jimi is also the current head of the SongNet, a Pasadena CA. based songwriter's org. As a writer & producer, much of his work can be found all over the world. He's a guest columnist in several publications & is known to network with everything & anyone connected to songwriting. An accomplished guitarist, Jimi builds most of his own instruments, & previously owned one of the more highly respected guitar shops in Hollywood. "A smile & a handshake are your most important assets in any business." When you meet him, you'll know why.

Following the song critiques, Jimi will lead a music industry discussion focusing on "Networking: How to let the people you know help you meet the people you need".
