Bucky Covington to host recap of "Music City Madness"

American Idol finalist and Lyric Street Records recording artist Bucky Covington hosts a madcap re-cap of CMT’s online search for the best unsigned country act in America when MUSIC CITY MADNESS: THE ROAD TO CMT premieres Tuesday, December 4 at 10:00-10:30 a.m., ET/PT on CMT. The half-hour show takes a look at the top 64 contenders and those that didn’t make the cut, and reveals the final two contestants as chosen by the fans. The top two contenders will then battle it out in a head-to-head battle at CMT.com, and the winner will be announced Tuesday, December 11.
More than two million votes have already been cast at CMT.com to determine the winner of season 2 of MUSIC CITY MADNESS. Chevrolet is the official online and on-air sponsor of CMT’s user-generated talent search, while Sony BMG Nashville is the official record label partner. The nationwide search offers unsigned artists a chance to reveal original, undiscovered music to fans across the country. The winning entrant will receive an all-expenses paid trip to CMT’s Nashville studio to record their own episode of UNPLUGGED AT STUDIO 330, CMT.com’s original online performance series. In addition, the winner will receive a private audition with Sony BMG Nashville’s A&R department.
