WISEACRE (FUNKY IN THE MIDDLE / SALT & PEPPER – LA / NYC)
born into the lovely environs of suburban lands lying to the east of los angeles, and raised on frozen food, meat and the religious right, eric tucker, aka WISEACRE, currently finds himself happily free yet equally inspired by it all.living in the seaside republic of venice for 18 years, wiseacre initially established a successful career as a commercial/fine art photgrapher. in 2003, he decided to pick up some vinyl, a couple of turntables, a mixer, two speakers and a few friends in order to begin the labor of love we call “throwin’ parties”.

since this time, WISEACRE has put his career of photography on hold and co-created two very successful los angeles parties, FUNKY IN THE MIDDLE and CUSTOM SUNDAZE. He has hosted and played along side such talents as NICKODEMUS, MR. SCRUFF, QUANTIC, MARK FARINA, MARQUES WYATT, FORT KNOX FIVE, J BOOGIE, MAKOSSA + MEGABLAST, KING BRITT, OSUNLADE, MARK RAE, FEDERICO AUBELE, DJ DAY,MAD MATS, SABO, THE PIMPS OF JOYTIME, DJ VADIM, MARK DE CLIVE LOWE, VIKTER DUPLAIX, DAZ-I-KUE,SAKE ONE, AFROKINETIC, DJ DRM and JEREMY SOLE.

Currently, WISEACRE is traveling between los angeles, new york, san francisco and washington D.C. spreading his love of music. He is also looking to open a venue in new york city where he will be able to continue his quest to bridge genres of music and people, and therefore build a scene that is not exclusive or segmented, but rather one that simply appreciates “good music”. the tunes wiseacre chooses to share are deep and wide…. from brooklyn to the balkans, from south america to sweden, from house, to disco, to afro-latin funky breaks and dub… in short, wiseacre loves music, his lovelywife-to-be RAE and daughter ZOE.
