BLUE Note Karaoke Experience coming to the Key Club

On Wednesday, May 20th, the Surfrider Foundation® and Emergen-C® will host their inaugural BLUE Note Karaoke Experience at the Key Club in West Hollywood.

The BLUE Note Karaoke Experience is a unique and exciting way to raise awareness and support for the need to protect and promote clean, healthy coastal water. Water quality is one of the nation’s most compelling environmental issues. Each year, there are more than 25,000 beach closures and advisories issued in the United States due to unhealthful water quality.

“The effort to secure healthy coastal water quality comes down to one thing: the individual,” says Matt McClain, Surfrider Foundation’s Director of Communications. “The choices we make as individuals are what make the biggest impact on coastal water quality. The BLUE Note Karaoke Experience is a great way to celebrate the individual and educate and inspire everyone to make changes in their daily lives to keep our oceans, waves and beaches safe and healthy.”

In honor of the organization’s 25th Anniversary, Surfrider and Emergen-C have tapped Los Angeles’ own Mister Mister Miyagi to perform the most popular songs from the 80’s along with the audience members. Karaoke singers will have the opportunity to let out their inner rock star while drawing attention to the importance of clean and healthy water.

As part of its efforts to clean and protect the world’s coastlines, Surfrider Foundation has partnered with Emergen-C BLUE™. This new health and energy boosting* berry flavored drink mix will support the cause with a portion of the proceeds directly benefiting the Surfrider Foundation.

“We are extremely excited to do our part to help people improve their own health* while boosting the health of our planet with Emergen-C BLUE and our Surfrider partnership,” says Meghann Seidner, Emergen-C Brand Manager. “The BLUE Note Karaoke Experience helps remind us that we’re all center stage when it comes to helping conserve and protect our valuable water resources.”

Tickets go on sale Friday, April 17, and admission to the event will be in the form of a $10 donation. Doors for Blue Note Karaoke are at 8:00 p.m. and Mister Mister Miyagi will begin at 9:00 p.m. For additional information, go to:
