MySpace Records singer/songwriter, Jeremy Greene has joined the hotly ticketed The Let It Rock Tour, presented by Live Nation, the largest producer of live music in the world.
Headlined by Cash Money/Universal Republic Records chart topper, Kevin Rudolf, Jeremy will one of the featured artist on the tour, which kicks off in Nashville , TN on April 3rd and include electro-genre mashers Hyper Crush, New Jersey rockers Cash Cash, punk/funksters The Audition, and Nebraska pop band Go Crash Audio.
The rising pop/R&B vocalist will bring his kinetic voice and energetic talent to American concert venues for the first time, armed with his internet-sensation single “Rain”. The hyper-paced, highly sexualized track has garnered over 24 million plays on his MySpace page, www.myspace.com/jeremygreene.
Drawing from his personal life, Greene crafts songs that explore themes of love, passion and spirituality. He had to overcoming a difficult childhood in Winslow , Maine , where his dad left when he was a child and his mom struggled with substance abuse. His mother’s setbacks eventually forced Greene into the foster care system, where he was shuffled between group homes and shelters from the age of fourteen. At 18, having used music to escape from the harsh realities of life, he decided to pursue his dream of becoming a singer, inspired by modern and classic performers from Usher to The Jackson Five.
“I prayed for the power to express myself through songwriting,” he says. “And my prayer was answered. I woke up in the middle of the night and wrote my first song.”
Close to 150 songs later, Jeremy Greene remains dedicated to his craft as well as his native community. He continues to volunteer his free time to benefit underprivileged children living at Good Will-Hinckley in Portland , Maine , among other charity efforts.
Greene states, “A lot of kids have a hard life. I hope I can be an inspiration for them, encouraging them to follow their dreams and make them come true.”
