Martina McBride and the Bacon Brothers to be featured on "Private Sessions"

A&E's third season of the interview and performance series "Private Sessions" continues with premieres featuring Martina McBride, on Sunday, April 5 at 9AM ET/PT and The Bacon Brothers on Sunday, April 19 at 9AM ET/PT.

Pop-country super star Martina McBride sits down with host Lynn Hoffman to talk about balancing roles of celebrity, wife, mom and spokeswoman for the National Domestic Violence Hotline, how she started out in a rock band, the clever way she got record execs to listen to her demos and personally calling radio stations around the country that were refusing to play her controversial single "Independence Day."

She'll perform that along with her other hits, "Anyways" and "This One's For the Girls," as well as the singles "Ride" and "I Just Call You Mine" off her new album Shine, this Sunday, April 5 at 9AM ET/PT. The episode will also feature guest appearances by The Jonas Brothers, Lynn Anderson, Katie Couric and Loretta Lynn.

On Sunday, April 19 at 9AM ET/PT, The Bacon Brothers, featuring brothers Kevin and Michael Bacon, visit the Private Sessions studio to perform "New Year's Day," "Go My Way" (The iPod song) and "Almost Got Rich."

They'll be surprised with celebrity guests Kenny Loggins, Kiefer Sutherland, Paul Rodriguez and Jack Brennan, President Nixon's post-resignation Chief of Staff, whom Kevin Bacon portrayed in the recent film Frost/Nixon.

Filmed in a small, intimate studio in New York City, "Private Sessions" showcases exclusive performances and conversations with top names in entertainment with a focus on contemporary music ranging from rock n' roll to pop to country. Each Sunday morning "Private Sessions" explores the body of work of a single artist or group and feature current releases as well as career-building, influential or defining projects.
