Background
Grand-Prize winner of the International Liszt Competition in Los Angeles, Belgian pianist Steven Vanhauwaert graduated in 1999 from the Conservatorium in Kortrijk and earned his Master of Music degree in 2004 from the Royal Conservatory in Brussels. He continued his studies at the USC Thornton School, where he won the USC Concerto Competition. He performs frequently throughout Europe and the US and has appeared with the Pacific Symphony, the Flemish Symphony, Collegium Instrumentale, and Prima la Musica, to name a few. Steven is a frequent pianist of the acclaimed Jacaranda series in Santa Monica.
