Songsalive! is pleased to announce our first (inaugural) SONGSALIVE! SONGWRITER OF THE YEAR AWARD, which will be an ongoing yearly award. For the first one, 2010, we awarded Los Angeles based Songsalive! Elite Member, KAYE REZNICK.
The official award ceremony will take place at the Songsalive! Showcase
@ Hallenbecks on Friday January 7, 2011.

Kaye will be performing, as well as gilli moon and Shawn Cunnane.
Kaye was chosen for this prestigious award on this criteria:
A long standing Elite member and have continued to keep membership current.
Performed at our showcases and attended our workshops, and shown commitment to our programs, including 2 of our CD Samplers.
Shown commitment and dedication to the broader songwriting community.
Shown talent and a long standing drive and commitment to her own career.
Has great songs that exemplify strong songwriting craft and excellent production quality.
Kaye Reznick is a contemporary folksinger/songwriter, performing primarily in L.A.'s acoustic venues. ABOUT THE SHOWCASE:
Hallenbeck's is an well known venue for acoustic Los Angeles Songwriters and performers - they have a small stage with a great sound system, great food and drinks, it is family friendly too, with free parking on the street.
ARTISTS:
We have four amazing performers who will be doing sets in two rounds - so nice you hear them all twice! And we'll have a short intermission in the middle for food, stretching, and conversation.

Gilli Moon is a force of Nature. She has been a trail-blazer in Indie Music is so many ways - from co-founding Songsalive to her Warrior Girl Music Company. Musician, Writer, Artist - she does is all with vitality and grace. If you have never seen her live you are in for an amazing evening!

Sean Cunnane
Sean is an amazing studio musician who can bring any sound out of a guitar or mandolin - he ranges from Hendrix-like improvizations to jamming blue-grass- always with a smile. He rarely does solo sets so this will be a treat for all!
