Yellowcard will play a free concert to launch the 2007 NHL Entry Draft Weekend in Columbus, Ohio. The double platinum-certified band will perform in Battelle Plaza, the heart of Columbus’ downtown Arena District, in front of Nationwide Arena on Friday, June 22 as part of the outdoor Draft Bash party.
Yellowcard will perform a career-spanning set that includes songs from their albums Ocean Avenue, Lights and Sounds and the forthcoming Paper Walls.
The Draft Bash, which runs from 4 p.m.- 6:30 p.m., will feature food and drink, appearances by Columbus Blue Jackets mascot, Stinger, and his fellow NHL mascot friends, and a host of hockey-themed interactive attractions. Draft event tickets are not required for the outdoor plaza party.
The 2007 NHL Entry Draft will take place at Nationwide Arena in Columbus. The first round will take place on Friday, June 22 commencing at 7 p.m., ET (VERSUS, TSN, RDS, NHL Radio, NHL.com audio stream) and the subsequent rounds (two through seven) will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 23 (NHL Network, NHL.com video stream).
